Mining and Basic Industries Press.- In an atmosphere of institutional jubilation and patriotic commitment, the National Institute of Geology and Mining (INGEOMIN) commemorated its 27th anniversary, marked by the geoscientific and mining passion of its workforce.
The continuous efforts of its human talent have made it possible to innovate in the study of soils and to design strategies to promote the development of national mining.
The central celebration took place in the auditorium of the Superintendence of Insurance Activity (Sudeaseg) and brought together authorities of the sector, led by the Vice Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Technological Innovation and president of Ingeomin, Alejandro Martínez, as well as by the Vice Minister of Investment and Mining Marketing Policies, Leonel Lacera.
The commemorative program began with a Thanksgiving Mass, a space for joint reflection and gratitude for the challenges overcome and the objectives achieved along this journey.
This event allowed those present to honor the collective effort and renew their energies to face the future challenges in favor of the sovereign development of the nation. Vice Minister Alejandro Martínez said that “there is no other way to do geology, there is no other way to do prospecting; it is through an integrated, solid team that transcends the professional part and goes to the human part so that we can go to the determination of those deposits that are essential for the development of the country.”
During the ceremony, the authorities presented awards for 5, 10, 15 and 20 years of service to the Ingeomin workforce, thus rewarding the perseverance, effort and trajectory of the workers who have dedicated their work to the scientific, technical and geological service of the nation.
In this way, INGEOMIN reaffirms its role at the forefront of geoscientific research, betting on technological innovation and the use of the mining wealth of the Fatherland.
