WHO ARE WE?

The National Institute of Geology and Mining (INGEOMIN) is an entity attached to the Ministry of Popular Power for Ecological Mining Development (MIDME), established on September 28, 1999, with the strategic vision of developing interdisciplinary research from a technical-scientific perspective in geology, geomatics, geophysics, geochemistry, geotechnics, mineral resources, and other related fields.

SERVICES

GEOSCIENCES AT THE SERVICE OF THE HOMELAND

The National Institute of Geology and Mining (INGEOMIN) is celebrating its 26th anniversary, consolidating a high-quality service portfolio designed to effectively respond to the productive dynamics of our country.

As a technical-scientific entity attached to the Ministry of Popular Power for Ecological Mining Development (MIDME), INGEOMIN plays a fundamental role in the exploration, evaluation, and utilization of Venezuela's geological and mining resources. Our services range from geological, geochemical, and geophysical surveys to laboratory analyses and technical consultations, always with a sovereign vision of the information.

TECHNICAL ADVISORY FOR MINING OPERATIONS

Comprehensive diagnosis for geological operations for open-pit and underground mines.

Design of underground excavations using cut and fill, room and pillar, and sublevels methodologies; and open-pit using methods such as cut, uncovered, terrace, alluvium, quarry, and gravel pit.

TOPOGRAPHIC SURVEY

INGEOMIN conducts topographic surveys using static points and high-tech drones to determine elements such as heights, distances, angles, and the configuration of the land, results necessary for the planning and development of construction projects, infrastructure, agriculture, mining extraction, and environmental studies.

GEOLOGICAL SERVICES

INGEOMIN develops integrated activities and studies using advanced technology to provide accurate data for mining operations.

GEOPHYSICAL SERVICES

INGEOMIN conducts indirect studies of rocks, essential for the exploration, assessment, and management of natural resources and for understanding the geological processes that lead to the accumulation of mineral resources and the prevention of risks.

GEOTECHNICAL SERVICES

We provide solutions that involve the study and analysis of the soil and rock conditions at a specific location to determine their capacity to support constructions and infrastructure. These services include slope stability analysis, seismic risk assessment, and foundation design.

DRILLING SERVICES

INGEOMIN conducts direct subsurface studies using diamond drilling (vertical or directional) to determine the distribution, depth, and presence of mineral resources. By combining this data with geophysics, they create a model that defines the volume and boundaries of the deposit, which is essential for designing the Exploitation Plan.

ENVIRONMENTAL AND SOCIOCULTURAL IMPACT STUDY

INGEOMIN is authorized and accredited by the Ministry of Popular Power for Ecosocialism (MINEC) for environmental and sociocultural impact studies, environmental audits, establishment of baseline data, design and implementation of mine closure plans, among others.

RESEARCH AND GEOANALYTICAL LABORATORIES

INGEOMIN has laboratories in Ciudad Bolívar and Los Teques to offer a service focused on the research and development of physical and chemical analysis methodologies with strict quality of results, verified with Certified Reference Materials (CRM), complying with international standards.

NATIONAL GEOLOGY PLAN (NGP)

The National Geology Plan (PNG) is a project created with the purpose of providing geoscientific information and the necessary documents for the process of quantification and certification of the mineral resources and reserves present in Venezuela, thus achieving the expansion of the investment opportunity portfolio in the mining sector.
