With over 26 years of experience, the National Institute of Geology and Mining (INGEOMIN) has established itself as the leading entity for scientific mining research in Venezuela.     TECHNICAL ADVISORY FOR MINING  OPERATIONS

We offer comprehensive diagnostics to maximize operational efficiency and ensure safety in open-pit and underground mining projects.

Our technical team deploys specialized solutions ranging from structural design to the optimization of critical processes:


  • Cut and fill , room and pillar and sublevels methodologies ; and open-pit mining using methods of cut, open-cut, terrace, alluvial, quarry and gravel pit
  • Optimization of mine service systems: main and secondary ventilation, pumping, compressed air, operating water, communications, electricity, roads and roof reinforcement
  • Excavation design according to its functionality: access ramps, level crossings, development galleries, ventilation galleries and chimneys.
  • Optimization of blasting patterns in underground and open-pit operations
  • Design of blasting patterns in underground (long holes, raises and development galleries) and open pit (benches and channels) by applying the mathematical model of Langefors and Kihlstrom

   TOPOGRAPHIC SURVEY

We carry out topographic surveys with static points and high-tech RPA to determine elements of height, distances, angles and ground configuration; results required for the planning and development of construction, infrastructure, agriculture, mining and environmental studies projects.

    GEOLOGICAL SERVICES

We develop integrated subsurface studies with advanced technology to provide accurate data prior to mining, industrial, agro-industrial operations, among others; thus guaranteeing strategic planning based on high-level scientific evidence.


Our methodologies minimize operational risks: 

  • Surface survey and geological mapping for the characterization of structures, rocks, sediments and soils. 
  • Structural analysis of deformation mechanisms in rocks from different scales. 
  • Analysis of geomorphological processes, prioritizing the various forms of relief and factors that contribute to defining them. 
  • Study of the genesis of rocks and origin of sediments using petrography, petrology and micromineralogy .

   GEOPHYSICAL SERVICES

We conduct indirect subsurface studies to optimize the exploration and management of mineral resources. Our work is fundamental to identifying strategic deposits and evaluating geological processes to prevent socio-environmental risks.

    GEOTECHNICAL SERVICES

We design comprehensive solutions to analyze soil and rock resistance for any infrastructure project. We study slope stability, assess seismic risks, and define foundation designs to ensure that every project is safe and durable.

    DRILLING SERVICES

We conduct direct subsurface studies using diamond drilling (HQ, NQ and BQ diameters), both vertical and directional.

This technique allows us to accurately define the distribution and depth of the mineral resource. We integrate these results with geophysical data to build robust block models.


We delimit the volume of the deposit and design exploitation plans, through:

  • Recovery and systematic description of nuclei
  • Determination of rock parameters using Spontaneous Potential (SP) logs, -Resistivity and natural Gamma Rays

    ENVIRONMENTAL AND SOCIOCULTURAL IMPACT STUDY
