The National Institute of Geology and Mining (INGEOMIN) is an entity attached to the Ministry of People's Power for Ecological Mining Development (MIDME), created on September 28, 1999, with the strategic vision of developing, from a technical-scientific perspective, interdisciplinary research in the fields of geology, mineral resources, geophysics, geochemistry, geotechnics, and other related areas.
INGEOMIN is the governing institute in geosciences, committed to the generation, processing, and dissemination of reliable and timely geoscientific information. We guide the sovereign management of mineral and water resources to meet the needs that impact the growth and development of the Nation, acting under ecosocialist principles and with deep respect for nature.
